Keeping up with the current hits & never forgetting the classics, Matt Stands knowledge of music history & theory reflects in his commitment behind the turntables, and those who continue to support the electronic music scene.

Matt Stands has held a 10 year residency at Seattle’s Cuff Complex and Bar Myx

In 2009 Matt Stands took another step in entertaining by adding a 30K 2.5 Watt Full Color Laser system. Using Pangolin Systems Software, the laser is capable of performing text, graphic animation, liquid sky, and beam show effects. This gives him greater opportunities to energize and engage audiences by adding a truly unique sound/visual experience to your next event. Laser performances include CDRH/FDA show notifications for event.

For the first time ever, Bearracuda is the official dance of BearTown Weekend! We'll be the huge Saturday night dance at the Jupiter with VERY special guests: DJ Paul Goodyear from Sydney (Portland Debut!) and DJ Matt Stands (Seattle).  Matt Stands will also be performing full color laser visual effects.

Camp Conception presents a party to mark our entry into the brightest time of year, and to raise funds for Conception, one of the Pacific Northwest's most exuberant arts collectives and Burning Man camps. It also happens to be spaceotter's birthday!

Camp Conception is dedicated to creating immediacy, forging connection and exploring the insides of the creative act in multiple media. Let your freak flag fly with us, get out your playa gear, or engage in creative undress and making yourself a canvas for our talented body painters.

We'll have DJs, fire dancers, body painting, performance art, drag queens, lasers, projections, community and love, love, love.
